Air tickets prices

When you are planning the details of your journey, you should follow the rule “the earlier the better”. Booking the ticket earlier (at least 2 weeks before departure) allowes you to choose from cheaper offers of the particular airline. If you wait too long, you can meet the situation in which, although the irlines offer is wide, you will have to choose amongs the most expensive offers or even will be forced to buy a business class ticket.

Remember, that your ticket will be cheaper if you decide to a return ticket. The journey should start and end in the same city (e.g. the cost of a single ticket from or to Krakow is 70% of a return ticket).

If you had already decided to a return ticket, try not to change the airline, even if you have to change during the flight. You can check the offer of airlines that have an agreement signed and charge their cliets with the same tariff (e.g. LOT & Swissair, SAS & Lufthansa, etc.)

The departure and return dates are also important, because if your flight includes Sunday (excludidng the departure Sunday), the price of your ticket can be lower than if you travelled during the week (SUNDAY RULE). Some airways, especially those trans-atlantic ones, are more expensive on weekends. Sometimes the tariffs precise the time of your stay instead of raising prices.
